Benefiting Our Community,
Our World, and Ourselves through Action, Integrity, Service, and Fellowship

press release

Columbia Center Rotary Club To Launch a Satellite

Our Satellite is a new type of membership made of up Rotarians who meet at a different time and place than the Columbia Center Rotary host noon club.  Although assigned to the Satellite, every person is a full-fledged member of the Columbia Center Rotary Club but is only expected to attend their noon meeting once a quarter.

The goal of our Satellite is to provide a means for young professionals to be involved with Rotary, while making membership less of a financial burden and time constraint.  This new meeting time will cater to those who normally can't make a breakfast meeting or leave work in the middle of the day to attend a meeting. While there are no age requirements for the Satellite, we especially hope to attract new members in their 20s and 30s.

We are looking for members with a passion for service to local and global communities.  While "Service Above Self" is Rotary's main objective, fellowship, leadership development, and networking  are  also key elements.  Rotarians aim to "Benefit our Community, our World, and Ourselves through Action, Integrity, Service and Fellowship."

The new Rotary Satellite group will meet every first and third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 P.M. at Ice Harbor Brewing Company, 206 N. Benton St., Kennewick.  The  fourth Wednesday of each month will be set aside for strictly a social event.

For more information, our website is :, or  you may call the Columbia Center Rotary Office on Tuesday or Thursday mornings at (509) 736-2306.  We would be happy to invite you to a meeting so that you can check us out.
